NYJSA gets to expose Japanese along with other New Yorkers from different ethnicities to musical art forms that are well-known around the globe. The Artists and DJs are a mix of Japanese and New Yorkers who play a variety of style, including Reggae, Hip-Hop, Jazz, House, J-Pop and World-Roots music. This gives Japanese students who live in New York a chance to mingle and get to know other students from their country in an exciting entertaining environment.
